观察台北的时尚生活，不能不提到「in house」，熟悉夜生活的台北客都知道，「in house」不只是一间lounge restaurant而已，不但是引领「lounge文化」的重要推手，更成为时尚男女丶潮流人士的聚集地。每逢夜晚，打扮入时的男女们在此酒酣耳热丶享受音乐，和最国际化的信义商圈相互辉映，有种置身纽约时代广场或东京六本木的时空交错感，事实上「in house」已经发展成台北独特的「符号性商品」，在当代社会中反映消费活动丶流行指标与生活风格的文本之一，由映象唱片主理的「in house」系列，更是掀起沙发音乐风潮的主要势力，多年来一直独领风骚，其音乐风格和元素要求与欧美同步而不断求新求变，俨然一派名门正宗继续带领市场。
2006春天登场的《in house 05》，少了印象中沙发音乐呢喃软语的轻柔节奏，在取材上大胆尝试异国元素，house中可听见热情洋溢的拉丁鼓拍丶也将印度音乐融入downtempo的架构内，多了点民族色彩，但电气科技的气势一样不减，〈the waiting game〉丶〈dream machine〉是充满funky丶minimal感觉的浩室佳作，rap和house结合的〈make em shake it〉亦是一绝，就连欧陆十分流行，本地较少着墨的2-step乐风，也有〈the rain〉抢先收录，《in house 05》大致可分为两种聆听感受，前半段沉浸在都会感十足的节奏中，hip hop丶diva丶funky house等活力四射，後半段曲目还是有怡人的沙发缓拍丶bossanova可聊慰人心，〈el verde amanacer〉开场清新的吉他旋律就让人想躺在草原上。这绝对是「in house」 系列有史以来音乐性最丰富丶最多元的一张专辑，除了夜店生意不坠之外，《in house 05》也继续在沙发音乐中独占鳌头，看来过不久也许会有人问「你今天in house了吗？」代表品味丶有自信的生活态度了！
